 Borg Warner 31-03 eGearDrive.

 This single speed transfer case was developed by Borg Warner specifically for electric drive applications.  It has emerged as THE drive train choice for modern electric vehicles. It was used by CODA with the UQM drive train and by Azure Dynamics with their eTransit Connect.  Aptera and the Tesla Roadster also used this gearbox. The 6.54: 1 drive ratio is perfect for single ratio electric vehicle applciations. 

This model features the CANbus controlled electrically activated Park/Neutral/Drive controls.  

Ideally suited for full performance electric vehicles on either front-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive transverse driveline applications, the BorgWarner 31-03 eGearDrive(TM) single-speed transmission delivers high torque capacity, high efficiency, and low noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) in a compact package.

Named a finalist for the 2010 Automotive News PACE Awards, BorgWarner's eGearDrive™ transmission incorporates patented and proprietary technology as well as over 100 years of powertrain know-how. Through its high-efficiency gear train and compact, low-weight design, the BorgWarner eGearDrive™ transmission contributes to extended battery-powered driving range which in turn reduces the required amount of battery capacity needed. The transmission also achieves high torque capacity in a compact package with greater than 97% efficiency, while providing smooth, quiet operation. Also available is an optional electronically actuated park lock system as well as various electronic driveline disconnect systems.

We acquired 10 of these from the CODA bankruptcy and they are perfectly mated to the UQM Powerphase 100 motors and includes a shaft adapter for this motor.

Quaife ATB Limited Slip Differential for Tesla Model S

 The QDH2T is a direct replacement for the standard open differential in the Tesla Model S.

Unlike a conventional plate-style limited slip differential, the Quaife ATB differential relies on gears rather than clutch plates for its operation. That means it is much smoother in operation.

The ATB differential never locks harshly with a set pre-load of wheel slip across the driven axle, like a conventional LSD. Rather, it automatically biases the torque away from the spinning wheel across the axle, to a constantly varying degree, and never locks.

The ATB differential has many benefits over a standard open differential, including maximising traction and minimizing wheelspin, eliminating torque steer and snatching in front wheel drive cars compared to conventional LSD units, and a maintenance-free design which retains the standard oil lubrication.

Siemens B-Face Adapter

 B-FACED Motor Adapter for Siemens 1PV5135 Electric Motor

This adapter plate and shaft extension allows you to use the Siemens 1PV5135 motor with any adapter/transmission normally used by a standard B-Face motor such as a Netgain Warp 9 or Warp 11.  This means you can easily upgrade from an earlier ADC or Netgain or kostov motor to a Siemens AC system.

The adapter plate is indexed to teh Siemens front face for secure mounting and features four through threaded holes and four grade eight bolts to fasten it in place.

The front side features a standard B-face boss or index with the usual 8 threaded holes surrounding it.  As such almost any adapter plate can then be bolted to it.

The Siemens motor features a very short 3/4 inch long splined shaft.  The included shaft coupler fits securely over that splined shaft and is held in place by a hex cap screw that readily threads into the threaded hole in the Siemens shaft, holding it securely in place.  

The other end is the standard 1 1/8th inch shaft with 1/4 hardened keyway.  Key included.

Internal Splined Coupler for eGear Drive

 This is a 75 mm long involuted spline coupler that is used to connect the Siemens 1PV5135 motor to the BorgWarner 33-03 eGearDrive transmission.  Both transmission and motor have identical 24 tooth splined shafts, 24.87 mm in diameter.  This coupler is included WITH the eGearDrive transmission.  We offer it here separately for those buying the Siemens motor who might want to use it to develop other couplers to different transmissions.  Comes with two rubber O rings.
